On May 20th a fire destroyed two homes on Bay Walk. The fire broke out around 10pm, spread quickly burning down 244 and 245 Bay Walk at Holly Walk. The Fire Island Pines Fire Department responded immediately and was assisted through mutual aid by other fire departments from Fire Island and the mainland. There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation. View video of the fire:
