The Doctor’s Office in Fire Island Pines now sees over 500 patient encounters each season which is twice the volumn just four years ago. This increase is in part attributable to the service being offered for no charge. Our annual expenses are about $70,000 financed entirely by your donations. Approximately 20 to 25% of the patients are workers from the businesses in Fire Island Pines. Because so many of them live here they use the doctor’s office as their primary care provider.
